Health Navigation for Eating Disorders, Mental Health, Paediatric/Adult Oncology, and Palliative Care

The health care system in Ontario can be multifaceted, confusing and overwhelming to people who are experiencing acute, chronic and life-threatening physical and mental illnesses. In my practice, I advocate on behalf of individuals and families, and assist with communications between individuals, health care providers, and, community and hospital-based programs. In my practice, I also personally guide those experiencing challenges directly related to accessing care and treatment.

I will also provide resources and support in the following areas:

  • Achieving employment or education goals during illness

  • Improving knowledge and access to key supports

  • Expanding your social support network

  • Strengthening relationships with health-care providers

  • Coping with caregiver stress and fatigue

  • Creating self-care techniques

  • Finding accessible recreational activities

  • Connection to peer support

  • Managing activities of daily living (ADL’s)
